A bit of a snort episode
Oh, how I tittered into my tea
“Stop moving. I cannae do your straps up if you’re wriggling about.” [Jazzer to Fallon]
“He’s keen on birds” [on the bloke Kirsty has been seen with]
“I’d better go before they start attacking the ducks” [Nic on her wee horrors]
What does she looks like?
Ah – so Pip is now trying for a ‘Katy Perry’ look.
That still leaves us all confused.
If she has managed to come close to that sort of style – wouldn’t Jazzer approve? Or is Pip too young to even look at like that? Or, has Jazzer only got sideway glances for Fallon now (as opposed to his previous full frontal glare)? Or is she trying but failing???
Poor wee Pip. One would have expected her to be a bit bland (having come from David and Ruth), but I can't work out why she is so repugnant to her fellow peers. It's got to be more than just a bad hair-do.
Yes Helen – it’s true that you don’t know until you try - but ...
Maybe babysitting would be the way to ‘try’ what it might be like to look after a child.
NOT actually having it then trying.
Or is that the plan???

I fear poor Pip may have the smug gene. It's a shame, but it really does run in both sides of the family so it was going to be difficult to avoid. Her problems with her peers are caused by her inability to deal with people who are Not From Round These Parts and, therefore, don't think the Archers are All That. Given that the people she's dealing with are from parts that are only a little way away, you've got to assume a gap year, or even a gap fortnight, would blow the poor kid's tiny mind.
Ah - good point re the smug gene.
You’re absolutely right. All Archers do indeed have such tendencies (though David talking to/about anything Kenton related is one of the most obvious signs of the family trait. Then again, Helen on babies, Kenton on surround-sound, Pat on organics, Tom’s Sausages on Tom’s Sausages etc etc etc).
Could you imagine if Pip did head out into the world?
It was bad enough leading up to her side’s recent trip abroad. It turned out to be a non-event, but I was seriously worried that they would cope with the concept of anything non-Ambridge, let alone managing to fit in without anyone realising they were, indeed, Archers.
If Pip did head off, maybe she could rescue Annette at the same time ...
