i hadn't though of it until i read your post the other day about the episode where Matt was unnaturally interested in Brenda's current circumstances, but i do believe you may be right.
on the one hand, could make for fascinating radio to have Brenda working for Matt again... but if he asks and she agrees, then what was the point of this "commuting to the big city" storyline, and the introduction of the gay roommate, etc.? it's not like the Archers writers to introduce a plotline and have it just vanish. i think there's more coming than either of us expects. perhaps she'll turn Matt down?
Ah - I see your point about them building up Brenda's life away from Ambridge, only to switch her back to Matt.
Still, it'd be fun to see if she can share an office with Lilian. She still hasn't forgiven her for Scott ...
