When is a Tricycle a Till?

Seemingly when Susan Carter finds fault with Sabrina Thwaite being in charge with the village shop.

Having mucked up the till, Sabrina seemingly abandoned her post to flounce to her next seaweed wrap.

Leaving Jim to explain the problems to a very angry Susan (she has a course to go to, don’t you know!) and then a fairly nonplussed Peggy.

Accussing Sabrina of “fluttering her eyelashes” to get Jim to sort the problems out, Susan reckoned that this was all destined to happen.

Still, it is a whole new way for Sabrina to create excitement. As Kenton put it, it’s normally her jogging which makes that happen …

And what was Jim’s point about the ‘”principle of the nonsecretor”?!?

Ah Brian – you’ll eat Matt’s food, drink his wine, but you’ll also happily rubbish him when he’s not in earshot.

But what can we expect when you and your colleague escape Susan’s ‘interesting’ chat about her course by telling her your off to see a Marquis? Snobs ahoy!

“Out of jail 5 minutes and already getting in our way”

That’s just the start of it, Mr Aldridge

Bless Jill for not being able to switch on her computer.

But why did she have to keep it secret from Kenton?

I confess I was a bit incredulous that Jill didn't even know where the "on" switch was - ok, I get that maybe she doesn't know how to navigate around the PC once it is on, but surely pressing a button can't be beyond her comprehension!? From that point of view I understand why she kept it from Kenton - I think I'd be embarrassed to admit I coulnd't find an on switch.

I think there's also the 'fear' factor when you're not comfortable with a computer. I tend to be the person people in our village come to with computer problems - and I have seen some of the more 'silver surfers' scared that it'll explode if they touch it the wrong way.

Does Jill think that Kenton has less tact than Daniel?

Jim's comment was "non sequitor" - means "it does not follow" Latin, which was a comment on Soozan changing the subject from sorting out the till - which was being competently handled - to emphasise how busy and important she was cos she was going on a course that she should surely have taken years ago!

And I wonder whether Jill didn't want Kenton to see that she had a stack of emails from Meriel?

Ah! That makes far more sense. Wondered why he was talking about blood types ;-)

Good point about Kenton. Though wasn't he proudly showing Meriel related pictures a few weeks back?
